India Inc junks snacking, brings in health experts- Corporate Trends-News By Company-News-The Economic Times: "Hewlett-Packard has signed on Healthji, which has a wellness centre in Bangalore and tie-ups with various hospitals. The wellness programme allows H-P’s 15,000 employees to create their online health profile and assess obesity and stress-related risks. They get personal guidance based on their health profile through phone, e-mails or in person.
“It works extremely well and significantly improves delivery of an employee’s output,” says Subramaniya Hegde, administration manager of the company. An e-mail remainder about a health check up that is due goes a long way in ensuring the employee's health, he adds.
“Many companies in India have dietitians, doctors and fitness experts coming to their premises. But very few avail of their services,” says Avinash Singh, founder and CEO of Healthji. According to him, their demand will jump if telephonic; email and personal guidance is given to employees."
Using the mobile ( rather than email) would be even more powerful !
