Are US doctors the only ones who still use a FAX machine ?

We treat lots of patients from the US. When we ask them for a copy of their medical records, most of them request their doctor to send us a copy. The clinic than asks us for our FAX number so they can FAX the records to us. We threw away our FAX machine 3 years ago because we never send FAXes anymore and do everything by email these days. I am sure this is true of most of the business world as well ! Why do US clinics and doctors still use FAX machines ?
