I used to admire Google. Their products are good and they seemed to have a conscience. However, while their products are still good, sadly they seem to have lost their conscience in their pursuit of profits.
Look at how the search results on Google are being displayed. In the past, they would take pride in the fact that users could clearly distinguish between paid listings ( = Google ads); and the search listings. Now, they have camouflaged the word ad so cleverly, that you need a microscope to identify that the first listing on the search result page is an ad !
Because Google has a virtual monopoly, it seems to be taking its users for granted, and paying more attention to its paying customers. Not a good sign - and the time is now ripe for a clever company to come out with a better search engine which respects its users.
