Indian health minister promises mandatory CME: "Indian health minister A. Ramadoss was recently quoted in The Economic Times as saying that under a proposed act, 'we are making it compulsory for doctors to get re-registered every 5 years after they have attended 60 hours of continuing medical education.'

It'd be interesting to do a survey to find out how often Indian doctors update themselves - and how efficiently they do so !
