New IVF Law passed in India to regulate IVF clinics from Dec 20, 2021

The Indian Govt has passed a new law called the Assisted Reproductive Technology ( Regulation ) Act , 2021 on Dec 20, 2021.

This has been designed to regulate IVF clinics, because so many poorly equipped IVF clinics were mushrooming unchecked all over the country.

All clinics will need to be registered, to ensure they have the basic equipment and expertise needed to provide IVF properly to patients. This marks the end of the day of the travelling IVF specialist and the itinerant embryologist !
