How to select an IVF clinic.

IVF clinics are mushrooming all over the country ! This is good news , because this means that you have lots of choices as to which clinic you can go to. The bad news is that because you have lots of choices , you don't know which clinic is right for you.

Most patients end up choosing one based on how close it is to them; or one based on their doctor's referral  ( which is often decided by which IVF clinic gives them the biggest kickback);  or the one which is cheapest. However, this is not the best way to select a clinic !

You need to spend some time and energy thinking about exactly what you're looking for.

Now if you don't have a choice - for example, because you live in a remote place and there's only a single clinic in your town; or you're on a very tight budget, then the decision is out of your hands.

However, if you do have options, then it's extremely important that you think about what's right for you.

It's usually a good idea to at least do a consultation in two different clinics , and then select the one where the chemistry between you and the doctor is right !

Choose one where the doctor treats you like an intelligent adult ! He should be transparent, open, and will do what's in your best interests , because he puts you first !
