The Medical Council of India has been empowered with an extremely
important role - to make sure that medical practice is carried out
ethically. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a track record of having done a
very good job so far, for multiple reasons which I will not bother to
spell out as they are now common knowledge.
However, rather than list all the problems which plague the MCI, let's focus on solutions. I believe that a lot of these can be solved if the Medical Council starts using technology more intelligently in order to do a better job.
