Healthcare startup Lybrate raises $10.2 M funding

I was excited when I read that Lybrate, an Indian healthcare startup, has raise funding .You can read more about this at http://yourstory.com/2015/07/lybrate-funding/

It's good that Indian digital health entrepreneurs are being able to raise funds. These can be deployed cleverly to disrupt the present broken system. Now that startups have the funds , they will be able to experiment with clever new models of engaging with doctors and patients.

This is just the start, and I'm sure we'll see lots of new companies springing up in this space as it starts getting hot. Lots of VCs are happy to play follow the leader !

Hopefully, these offerings will mature and offer depth  and credibility, so that they can earn the patient's trust.
