Information therapy is latest buzzword in Indian medicare

I am glad that Indian hospitals are recognising the value of  engaging with the patient. Indian doctors have a great
reputation for being frugal - and leveraging the patient's personal resources is the best way of amplifying the doctor's effectiveness !

Infertility specialist Dr Aniruddha Malpani said an informed patient is a win—win situation for all. "Information therapy will no doubt help patients and their relatives, but it will also help the doctor. Patients will know what to expect and there will be fewer complaints against the medical staff or doctors," he said. He believes information therapy—or patient empowerment—is the best way to mend the fractured doctor—patient relationship.
