Putting patients at the center of the medical universe

I am an infertility specialist, but I prefer to think of myself as being a patient advocate. I believe patients should be at the center of the medical universe ( the "healthcare industry" ) and will write about what can be done - by patients and doctors - to achieve this.

  2. Dear Shazia,

Your doctor is lying. A beta HCG of less than 2 confirms you are not pregnant .

    Read more at www.drmalpani.com/hcg.htm

This means your IVF cycle has failed and your embryos did not implant.

There is no way she can see a sac on an ultrasound scan - she is just taking advantage of your ignorance. Please don't get fooled !
