Mother's Day can be a bitter-sweet time for infertile couples. This is the day when society celebrates motherhood - the one dream which eludes infertile women ! It can be hard to see the bond between mothers and children being widely publicised and feted, when you find that you cannot become a mom yourself - something which is supposed to be such a simple and normal biological fact of life, which other women seem to accomplish so effortlessly.
For IVF clinics, it is a moment of celebration. If you stop to think about it, IVF clinics don't make babies - we make mothers ( and fathers too ) ! In fact, IVF is one of the most effective ways of helping infertile women to become mothers - and it's a great feeling to look back and think about all the women we have been able to help achieve their dream of becoming a mother.
