The one conference you should not miss !

HEALING THE DOCTOR-PATIENT RELATIONSHIP

Health Education Library for People (HELP) will be organising its 4th Annual Putting Patients First (PPF) Conference on  16 Nov 2013 from 10 am – 1 pm at Nehru Center, Worli.  Entry to the conference is open to everyone and is free of charge.

Today, doctors and patients no longer seem to be on the same page.  There is a major trust deficit, leading to a breakdown in the doctor-patient relationship. A “patient advocate” can serve as a health guardian, because he understands the needs of a loved one and can act as a bridge between doctors and patients.

Renowned doctors,  including Dr Devdutt Patnaik, Dr Hemant Morparia and Dr Bhavin Jankharia, health IT specialists, healthcare experts and patients will be sharing the stage to present their work.
Mr. Darius J. Khambata,  Advocate General of Maharashtra, has kindly agreed to give the keynote address and release the new book authored by Dr Aniruddha Malpani,  “Patient Advocacy – Giving Voice to Patients’.  The website for the conference is www.patientpower.in

HELP ( Health Education Library for People ) is an NGO which works  towards empowering patients.
It runs India’s largest free patient education library.
